Becoming a contracted Pennsylvania Medicaid provider means you will also receive newsletters and alerts on upcoming education opportunities so that you are always providing superior patient care. If you are a contracted PA Health and Wellness provider, you can register anytime. If you are a non-contracted provider, you will be able to register after you submit your first claim. 

Once you have created an account, you can use the PA Health and Wellness provider portal to: 

  • Verify participant eligibility
  • Manage claims
  • Manage authorizations
  • View participant list/roster
  • Care Management and Service Coordination information

COMMUNITY HEALTHCHOICES (LONG-TERM SERVICES AND SUPPORTS)

Community HealthChoices is a new program to coordinate physical healthcare and long-term services and supports (LTSS) for older persons, persons with disabilities, and Pennsylvanians who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid (dual eligible). Pending regulatory approval, PA Health and Wellness will begin serving participants in the Southwest Zone as of January 1, 2018, the Southeast Zone July 1, 2018, and Lehigh-Capital Zone January 1, 2019.

 

Medicare

People age 65 and older, under 65 with certain disabilities, and any age with End-State Renal Disease – ESRD (permanent kidney failure requiring dialysis or a kidney transplant) may be eligible for coverage through Wellcare.
